Happy Independence Day

Dear members and friends of Centro Argentino Dallas / Fort Worth.

First of all, Happy Independence Day!

All Argentines no matter where they are, today they remember their Argentina. As a poet said: "No one is the homeland, but we all are", so our small center helps to recreate the great homeland and attenuate nostalgia.

This year our beloved Centro Argentino turns 25. It was founded in March 1996 primarily with a social and cultural purpose. Today after a long period of being forcibly quiet, we are preparing to start anew by taking this opportunity to raise expectations in our partners and friends for events to come. The invitation is also extended to all those who want to join in celebrating Argentine traditions and culture; we do not harbor political or religious beliefs of any kind. All are well received in our activities and we celebrate the diversity of this blessed country that has welcomed us.

This July 9th finds us in a moment of uncertainty without having a party as we usually organize, but we are thinking about something for the end of the year when life returns to normal. We look forward to seeing you again and welcoming new people with ideas and concerns.

CADFW Board: Ignacio Pujana, Juan Gentile, Daniel Schmidt, and Alfredo Santesteban.
